Reverse cycle systems are a refrigerated system, providing both cooling and heating. They are generally zoned to switch on/off individual rooms as required.
They provide a dry air which is recycled through the indoor Fan Coil Unit and perform well under any conditions.
Evaporative systems are a water cooled system and provide cooling only. They are a roof mounted system that services 100% of the house at one time (no zoning). They constantly supply air from outside (not recycled), and are ideal for hot, dry conditions.
